According to the American Academy of Dermatology, 1 in 5 Americans will develop skin cancer in their lifetime. Skin cancer may appear as a dark spot, linear line on nail, skin lesion, a wound that does not heal, or a simple bump on the skin. As a podiatrist I am very aggressive and proactive when it comes to the evaluation and management of these clinical findings.
