Our Services/Gait Analysis

Gait Analysis

Evidence-based biomechanics data for diagnosis and performance.

Advanced Footcare offers an innovative approach to capturing human movement and delivering evidence-based biomechanics data, creating the industry's most complete toolset for scientific, medical and sports research. An integrated suite of EMG, force, pressure, and motion sensors is complemented by synchronized medical-grade video technology, creating a smarter workflow and highly accurate data and analysis.

NORAXON Technology

We utilize NORAXON's state-of-the-art motion capture system which combines electromyography (EMG), force plates, pressure mapping, and synchronized high-speed video. This gives our physicians the most complete and accurate picture of your gait cycle, enabling precise diagnosis and targeted treatment planning.

How It Works

A patient's gait can be monitored while a video camera attached to a computer captures the gait cycle in real time while walking or running on a treadmill. The video can be played back frame by frame, illustrating each phase of the gait cycle. This allows our trained experts to analyze a person's gait for diagnosing biomechanical abnormalities in foot, leg, hip or back function. The motion analysis may also be used as a tool for analyzing a patient with a corrective device in their shoes to determine the effectiveness of the foot orthotic device.
